What Does a Kidney MRI Scan Involve?
A kidney MRI scan examines both kidneys, the surrounding tissues, and the upper urinary tract. The scan takes around 20-30 minutes and may use contrast dye. It is particularly useful for characterising kidney masses and evaluating patients who cannot have CT contrast.
