Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between TruAge and TruHealth?
TruAge measures how old your body is on a cellular level (biological age, pace of aging, organ-system age, telomere length, disease risk). TruHealth measures your current healthspan — chronic disease risk, immune resilience, metabolic function, inflammation. They use the same lab method (DNA methylation) but answer different questions: TruAge is "how am I ageing?", TruHealth is "what's my body doing right now?". Together they give you the complete picture.
Why is this priced lower than buying TruAge and TruHealth direct from TruDiagnostic?
TruDiagnostic does not currently ship their consumer kits directly to the UK or most of Europe. Lola Health is the official partner for the UK and Europe, and we have negotiated bundle pricing that lands below TruDiagnostic's own US-direct sticker price for the same two tests.
Do I need a phlebotomist?
No. The bundle uses a fingerprick collection kit you do at home. There is no clinic appointment, no qualified phlebotomist booking, and no fasting required. The collection itself takes about 5 minutes.
How long do results take?
4–6 weeks from when TruDiagnostic's lab receives your sample. DNA methylation analysis is genuinely complex — 900,000 markers per test, run on Illumina EPIC arrays, with proprietary algorithms applied to the raw data. Faster results would mean lower-resolution science.
Can I order from outside the UK?
Yes. We ship to Sweden, Germany, Italy, France, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Denmark, Poland, Portugal, Greece, Cyprus, Ireland, Norway, Finland, Lithuania, Malta and the United States. International delivery is calculated at checkout. Sample return shipping to TruDiagnostic's US lab is included.
Is this the same test Bryan Johnson uses?
Yes. The TruDiagnostic TruAge Complete is the test used by Bryan Johnson's Blueprint protocol, Peter Attia, Ben Greenfield and most of the leading longevity researchers and clinicians. DunedinPACE — TruAge's pace-of-aging algorithm — was developed at Duke University and is the most validated rate-of-aging biomarker in peer-reviewed literature.
How accurate is biological age testing?
TruAge's algorithms (DunedinPACE, OMICmAge, GrimAge, SYMPHONYAge) are based on peer-reviewed research with mortality and morbidity validation. Most accurate for adults aged 20–70. Results represent a snapshot of cellular ageing influenced by recent lifestyle factors. They are most powerful when retested every 6–12 months to track change over time, rather than as a one-off number.
What can I do to lower my biological age?
The interventions with the strongest evidence are: regular aerobic and resistance exercise, 7+ hours of quality sleep, a Mediterranean-style diet, stress management (meditation, breathwork, social connection), not smoking and moderate alcohol. NMN and other NAD+ precursors have peer-reviewed data supporting cellular ageing markers — Lola sells a UK-tested NMN product if you want to add it to your protocol.
How often should I retest?
Every 6–12 months. Epigenetic change is gradual, so retesting more frequently than every 6 months rarely shows meaningful movement. The most useful thing TruAge gives you is the trend: did your interventions move the needle? We will email you a retest reminder.
Will my data be shared?
Your sample is processed by TruDiagnostic in the US under HIPAA and Lola Health is GDPR-registered in the UK. We do not sell your data. Your reports are available only to you through your Lola account, and you can request deletion at any time.
