What is the TruHealth epigenetic test?

TruHealth is a comprehensive epigenetic test developed and processed by TruDiagnostic, a CLIA-certified US lab and industry leader in DNA methylation testing. It analyses over 900,000 methylation sites across your genome to deliver 11 personalised health insights covering metabolic, cardiovascular, hormonal, liver, and nutritional health. It evaluates your healthspan potential by measuring how your environment, lifestyle, and biology are influencing your long-term health outcomes — so it can show the real impact of routines like your LYMA protocol. Lola provides access to the same test through a direct partnership with TruDiagnostic.

What does Peak Insights measure?

Peak Insights is a comprehensive blood panel covering 70 biomarkers across hormones, inflammation, vitamins, cardiovascular health, liver function, thyroid, and more. It provides a complete picture of what's happening inside your body and is analysed at UK government-approved, NHS-standard labs with 99.8% accuracy. Every result is reviewed by a qualified doctor who provides a written analysis highlighting any markers outside normal range.

How are the samples collected?

The two tests use different collection methods:

Peak Insights (blood test): A qualified phlebotomist visits your home at a time that suits you, or you can visit one of 140+ partner clinics across the UK. It's a professional venous blood draw that takes approximately 10 minutes. The phlebotomy appointment is included in the price.

TruHealth (epigenetic test): A simple at-home finger-prick kit using the included lancet. You place a few drops of blood on a dried blood spot card and post it using the prepaid envelope provided. No clinic visit or phlebotomy appointment is required.

How long do results take?

Peak Insights: Results are typically ready within 4 working days of the lab receiving your sample. Upon ordering, Lola dispatches your kit via Tracked 24 service and contacts you the same day to arrange your phlebotomy appointment.

TruHealth: Results are typically ready in 2–3 weeks after your sample arrives at the US lab. You'll receive a secure PDF report by email.

Both tests include a comprehensive doctor review with personalised recommendations.

Does a doctor review the results?

Yes. Lola's team of doctors reviews all results and provides a comprehensive written analysis highlighting any markers that fall outside the normal range, with personalised recommendations. Results are emailed to you and also viewable in the Lola Health app (Apple and Android), which tracks trends over time as you take more tests. You can download your results as a PDF or CSV to share with your GP.

Can I track my progress over time?

Blood tests (Peak Insights): Yes. The Lola Health app automatically displays trends for your health markers as you take more tests — so you can track biomarker improvements over time.

TruHealth: TruHealth results are delivered and managed through our partner TruDiagnostic. Progress tracking for healthspan insights is handled on their platform.

Are there any additional costs?

No. For Peak Insights, the phlebotomy appointment and doctor review are both included in the price. For TruHealth, the at-home collection kit, postage, lab analysis, and report are all included.
